Locksmith Richfield offers a state of the art service in locksmithing and security. With more than a half-century tradition, we know our city’s needs better than anyone. Our history is filled with success and some setbacks, but our spirit remains the same: being useful to our community and create job opportunities at a local scale. 1950’s

After World War Two, Richfield’s farming fields were used to create residential complexes; population grew incredibly, and the city became a paradise to start new businesses. Our founder returned from war and saw in Richfield a beautiful place to stay and resume his life. He was severely wounded and was unable to walk, but that didn’t stop him to think big and build a company. With the help of his sons, the first agency opened in 1957 near Lyndale Ave and strived to get a loyal customer base.

1960’s

Our second office is opened close to Bloomington Ave. Residential developers adopt the “mass-production” systems used in the auto industry, and Locksmith Richfield participates by providing and installing doors and locks.

1970’s

We expand our reach and cover all the city neighborhoods. We acquire three new trucks and starte to work 24/7 to attend emergencies. We divide our company into four sectors: residential services, commercial services, automotive services and emergency services.

1980’s

We foresee the advent of technology in the security field and become pioneers in implementing it to our services. We install our first surveillance hardware. The revitalizing plan for the city’s downtown increases the number of residents and businesses. We start planning to open new agencies or even franchising.

1990’s

The near major highways, the old town feeling, and the accelerated growth of industry and commerce keep attracting new developments to Richfield. We open a new agency downtown and keep including high-tech devices. We offer a new service: Risk Analysis

2000’s

The new century arrives, and technology explodes! New gadgets, the internet takes over, and we make a lot of courses and specialized training to keep up. We hire software specialists and improve our security system offers. Cedar Point Commons open in 2007, with 350 thousand square feet of retail area; we get some long term clients there.

2010’s

Locksmith Richfield is at its best. We hold the 1st place among the locksmithing services, exceeding all expectations. We open locations in Edina and Bloomington, starting our franchising experiment officially.
